Participation in the 9th National Global Learning Conference – EU-GlobalAct
November 2024 

At the end of November 2024, Dr. Janja Mikulan, researcher and head of the Jean Monnet module EU-GlobalAct, attended the 9th National Global Learning Conference, organized by the Humanitas Association.
This year’s conference, which brought together over 60 teachers, representatives of non-governmental organizations, and other stakeholders, was particularly relevant to the EU-GlobalAct module, as it focused on the importance of education for peace.

The keynote speaker, Dr. Mari Anne Okkolin, a sociologist and educator from Finland, delivered an opening lecture on the fundamental concepts of peace education. She emphasized that peace begins within each individual, particularly in educational settings.

Following her lecture, participants engaged in a series of parallel global learning workshops. The insights gained from the conference will undoubtedly enrich the pedagogical activities offered to students at FUDŠ within the EU-GlobalAct module.
