Field Research in Bosnia and Hercegovina

After eight months of intensive literature study, dr. Janja Mikulan, coordinator of the EU-GlobalAct module and the research project Vulnerability to radicalization from the perspective of trauma, is starting with the field work of the research, namely in Bosnia and Herzegovina.With the increasingly fragile security situation in the Western Balkans, her research will offer current and relevant insight into the importance of understanding unresolved individual and collective traumas that affect the bodies, brains, beliefs and behaviours of individuals and communities, thus increasing vulnerability to political manipulation, radicalization and violent extremism.
